Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Vaanya Travels Pvt Ltd ("Vaanya Travels", "we", "us") handles information in the Vaanya Travels mobile application (the "App"). The App lets our existing travel customers securely view their own travel documents — air tickets, boarding passes, hotel vouchers, passports, visas and related items — that our agency has prepared for them. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Mobile number — used to identify your bookings and to send a one-time verification code (OTP) via WhatsApp so only you can sign in.
• Name and email address (where on file) — to show your profile and, optionally, to deliver an OTP by email.
• Your travel documents — these are uploaded by our agency staff and are shown to you in the App after you verify your identity. The App displays them to you; it does not collect documents from your device.

We do not collect your device location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and the App contains no advertising.

How we use the information

• To verify your identity at sign-in (one-time code by WhatsApp/email).
• To show you and your linked family members the travel documents and booking details associated with your mobile number.
• To let you raise service requests (for example seat, meal, or web check-in preferences) with our team.

We use your information only to provide these services. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. Limited processing happens only to operate the service:

• WhatsApp / Meta Platforms — your mobile number is used to deliver your one-time sign-in code via WhatsApp.
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our customers and our business.

Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Documents are served through expiring, tokenized links, and access requires successful OTP verification tied to your registered mobile number.

Data retention

We retain your booking and document information for as long as needed to provide our travel services and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. One-time codes expire within minutes of being issued.

Your choices & data deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held in the App. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email us at abhishek@vaanya.travel with the subject "App data deletion" from your registered email or mobile. We will process verified requests within 30 days, subject to records we must retain by law.

Children

The App is intended for our adult travel customers and is not directed to children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
